Chick Flint Grit for poultry chicks is hard insoluble flint grit, in small particles.
Insoluble grit is used in the gizzard to help grind down food for digestion.
If chicks are being reared inside with no access to earth then flint grit is essential.
Flint grit should be offered separately to the feed and made available at all times.
Chicks will help themselves to the grit as and when they need it.
